I know, ladies (and even some of you boys). You wish you were The Doctor’s companion, right? Well, it looks like we missed out on this one; they chose Karen Gillan to be The Doctor’s partner in crime.
She’s cute, isn’t she? She was in the Fires of Pompeii episode as a Soothsayer, so I guess we should go back to season 4 just to watch this episode and figure out what she’s like. According to the BBC News article, they say that Steven Moffat “described her as “funny, and clever, and gorgeous, and sexy. Or Scottish, which is the quick way of saying it”.” Well, ok. All of the companions in the new series were like that, in my honest opinion.
As I’m thinking about it, I have a feeling that this girl and Matt Smith’s Doctor will have a great chemistry. Here’s to you, 2010. Deliver us some awesomeness. We’ve been waiting for these specials to come out and give us our fix of Doctor Who, but it’s not enough. Come back with a bang.
